So What’s This All About?

This lab is for you, our members, in gratitude of your commitment and dedication to all that coaching is and all we believe the ICCO is and can be, to support your growth in your areas of practice and the coaching profession as a whole.

What to expect:

  • Generative dialogue
  • Ideas, ways forward
  • Community
  • Collaboration
  • Co-creation
  • Great content
  • Connection

What not to expect:

  • Lectures
  • Power Points
  • Being “talked at”

Benefit 1:

Be engaged in collaborative and generative dialogue with key leaders in many areas of practice.

Benefit 2:

Put yourself in an environment where competitiveness is parked at the door and replaced with collaboration; isolation replaced by connection and community; and roadblocks removed and replaced by ideas and ways forward.

Benefit 3:
Turn shared information and best practices into plans of action relevant to you and your organizations.

Together we’re better

We’re heard from many of you.  What we’ve heard is you want more ‘in-person’ events.  Many of our members feel isolated in their geographic locations and fields of practice. So in addition to our signature symposia which are topic-centric and limited to a small number of each of our stakeholder groups, we are bringing together all members for a ‘member-centric’ event.

Mark the date and time

October 22nd, 23rd, and morning of the 24th, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas

That’s right.  This is a full two and a half day lab

Imagine what it would be like if you had your own team of professionals working with you to help you evolve to a new level.

We pooled our knowledge, experience, resources and energy to create an event unlike any you’ve experienced, one that you’ll remember for years to come.

If you think you’ll be overloaded with information with no clear
and simple direction, you’ll be in for a surprise…

In other words, this is not just any ordinary arms-length, facts-only, information-heavy conference. Our commitment to you is that it will be a very personal experience, with a focus on how to turn shared information and best practices into action.

With the experience of all stakeholders of coaching from many parts of the globe, to the tune of hundreds upon hundreds of clients and colleagues, if there is one thing we know for sure, it’s that your information combined with the right coaching questions, invitations and a supportive environment, can and will create something extraordinary.

Only with action can we create the results we all want.

Every successful project, practice or well-run organization is a direct result of people coming together to put their talents and resources to work… walking away with a ready-to-implement plan of action.

Out of all the change, growth, challenge, and personal development that galvanized us up to this point in time, the one thing we knew was that we wanted to do something good together for coaching and for ICCO.

We know the power of putting a date and location in place. We know the power of putting together a special ICCO event for people who will value the experience of learning, collaboration, friendship and shared meaning. With this stimulating topic for generative dialogue, there will be a great deal of productive action. This is a lab in the true sense of the word….and an event to remember.  It’s also a chance for us to express our excitement and faith in the future of executive coaching.  We hope you’ll join us.

What you’ll experience by coming… (and what you’ll miss by not):

This event will …

  • Build networks and communities of interest based on your areas of interest and passion
  • Discuss key questions in a World Café context
  • Create documentation to serve as the group memory. Use what’s captured to allow the group’s collective work to be shared with others in the room; a framework from which to make further meaning; and a guide for creating an action plan
  • Distill insights, patterns, themes and deeper questions down to their core, table by table, and then broaden those key points in discussion with the whole room
  • Have an Open space setting to connect with members

We look forward to sharing this ground breaking ICCO event with you!
